A Holter monitor is a simple non-invasive test for monitoring your heart rhythm and is used in the investigation of palpitations or blackouts. Electrodes are placed on your chest and connected to a small portable monitor. You wear this small portable device for 24 hours and sometimes up to seven days. We will ask you to keep a detailed diary of your symptoms so that we can correlate your symptoms with the heart rhythm.
