Dr Mark Perrin holds joint appointments at Royal Melbourne Hospital and The University Hospital, Geelong. 

He completed his medical degree at University of New South Wales and went on to Cardiology training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney. 

He has an extensive clinical and research background in the management of cardiac rhythm disorders. Mark completed a PhD in drug-induced arrhythmia at the Victor Chang Research Institute before pursuing postdoctoral studies and a clinical arrhythmia fellowship in Ottawa, Canada. 

He has a special interest in genetic arrhythmia syndromes including long and short QT syndrome, early repolarisation syndrome, Brugada syndrome, catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia, and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy. He attends the Cardiac Genetic Clinic at Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Mark performs complex catheter ablation for atrial and ventricular arrhythmia and implants a wide range of cardiac devices. Procedural work is performed at Royal Melbourne Hospital, University Hospital Geelong, and at the St John of God and Epworth Hospitals in Geelong. He has private consulting rooms in Geelong.
