Dr Al-Kaisey is a specialist cardiologist currently undertaking his Ph.D. studies at the Royal Melbourne Hospital through the University of Melbourne. His research studies focus on understanding the mechanisms of persistent atrial fibrillation and the 3-dimensional activation of the human atria.
Following completion of his MBChB degree (honours) through the University of Baghdad in 2008, he migrated to Australia where he completed his basic physician and advanced cardiology training at Austin Health, with 6 months rotations through Barwon Health and Bendigo Health. He was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2018 before commencing his Ph.D. studies in 2019.
